Policies & Procedures



1. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
The purpose of this statement is to establish a policy and applicable procedures, Regarding any E-mail, PC and Equipment requests and Helpdesk.


2. APPLICABILITY:
This applies to all related departments and employees of College of Applied Medical Sciences who are authorized end-users of assigned/issued Printers and Photocopiers.


3. POLICY:
3.1 PC Request:
A request must be submitted through help desk to ITS department and should be signed from Authorized Department Head.

3.2 E-mail Request:
A requests must be submitted through help desk to Edutech department and should be signed from Authorized Department Head.

3.3 Printer Request :
A request must be submitted through helpdesk to ITS department attached with a justification memo approved by Department Head

3.4 Equipment requests:
An Equipment custody form should be submitted to our department and signed from the authorized end user and IT Department Head.

3.5 Helpdesk:
Any technical defect for example( Password replacement, Email access Issue, Printing issue, internet access issue, Microphone issue,…etc.) requests should be sent to our Helpdesk Email to issue a ticket to an authorized technician, Helpdesk extension is for immediate requests and inquiry.


4. PROCEDURE:

4.1 PC Request:
4.1.1 An IT Technician will fill IT asset request form that requires Employee Badge and Department Head Approval

4.2 E-mail Request:
4.2.1 An IT Technician will fill New User Account and IT Equipment Request & Receive Form that requires Department Head Approval

4.3 Printer Request:
4.3.1 A justification should be submitted to our department that has been approved from Department head then an IT Technician will send the request to Information Technology Services(ITS)

4.4 Equipment requests:
4.4.1 An Equipment Custody Form (ECF) should be filled from an authorized ends user and IT technician and submit it to IT Department.

4.5 Helpdesk:
4.5.1 Any technical defect for example( Password replacement, Email access Issue, Printing issue, internet access issue, Microphone issue,…etc.) requests should be sent to our Helpdesk Email to issue a ticket to an authorized technician, Helpdesk extension is for immediate requests and inquiry.



5. RESPONSIBILITY:
Information Technology CAMS-J Department is responsible for checking and monitoring the daily activities of all Equipment issued within the College.
